Blessings to all those who shared about their sobriety here. Your openness is inspirational. I just celebrated 29 years sober..just another day but one free of alcohol. Thank you all.

I'm an alcoholic chirosis fighter.... little did I know that even a lil bit of alcohol could cause me that trouble.... always tired, not feeling like eating. I got diagnosed 3 years ago and in recovery.... God bless he made the liver one of the strongest organs in our body....
also a blessing finally starting to wake up without being in pain or throwing up.
no matter how fun alcohol was when I was a teen? now, not so much.
while craving a beer now and then, I drink it without alcohol!
I never cared about my health, but when diagnosed? I turned my life from alcohol to water and as less fat in food as possible.
very hard when you come to a boiled based meal from Belgium, after moving to Greece where everything is getting fried.... cutting oily stuff also helped a lots!
but yeah, alcohol was the biggest problem... I'm not against it, but like a pack of smokes, alcohol should have these scary images, or at least a warning for this health issue!
strength to everybody who's cutting alcohol in their lives... it's not easy! but everything is possible.
sorry for the losses, a problem gets born through problems!
