Look at the Liberian flag. I believe it has eleven red and white stripes and one star on a blue field in the upper left corner. Very similar to the US flag.

JustJason007, maybe you could say they returned to their homeland having been brought forcibly to USA.

Actually, Ethiopia and Liberia were the only countries in Africa that weren't colonized. The history behind Liberia was that, America took that land for a sole purpose of dumping the weak, the old, the sturbon and sick slaves etc. Since these folks were taken from different corners on Earth and couldn't figure out how to take them back to their homes, they decided Liberia would be their home. To this day, their English sounds more American and the Flag depicts the American one and probably one of the brutal countries in Africa (as pointed out by another player) due to it history.

Never learned this in 12 years of ‘history’ in USA.

The other side to this story says that group believed blacks were inferior and wanted to “rid” states of these people. By the time this came about, some of these families had been here for generations and had ancestors who fought for independence. This group dumped all these folks off in a foreign country with little to no assistance
