How many strings are on a violin?

I read somewhere that the violin is considered to be the closest instrument to the human singing voice. It is so expressive!

I used to play. It’s a lovely instrument. 🎻

In high school, I took grade 12 music in grade 10 and it was there that I learned to play the cello.
