Where does the fruit with the common name Miracle fruit originate?

They are especially good for cancer patients who have had chemo and radiation and can't taste or lose their appetite - they can eat a Berry then enjoy food again.

Why isn’t this being used to “sweeten” foods to cut calories, and avoid cancer-causing artificial sweeteners?

I bought some dried versions of this online so I could drink sugar free (sour) lemonade and avoid all the extra calories. Works well.
