Mars V, shark teeth aren't bones either. Hard mineral. A broken or worn tooth gets replaced in a day or two

Sharks also regrow teeth throughout their lives. So if a shark bites into a surfboard or the bones of a living being and loses teeth, it will still be just as deadly of a predator.
