Went on a Christian mission trip to the Navajo Nation, nearby there. Then went there one day, and standing at the rim Looked down at rock to see a clam fossil shell in it...Tell me what's a fossil doin at near 7,000 feet above sea level? God is real folks, follow Jesus!

pictures do not do this place justice! I went there on my way back after traveling to California from south Texas and it has got to be one of the most beautiful, unrealistic places I have ever been. it should definitely be on your bucket lists.

When I was there, the Park Rangers were fixing to go out looking for a man that was missing. They told me they are always going out either doing a rescue or a recovery (if you know what I mean!). This was an unusual circumstance because the man was in his seventies and had been missing for three days. After that length of time, it is probably a recovery. The strange thing they told me is they had not found a trace of him; not his body washed down the Colorado River, or body parts left by coyotes! They found nothing! They didn't tell me how long they were going to look and I didn't ask.

The Grand Canyon has so many tourists that they have to restrict entrance to the part of the park leading to the scenic trails along the canyon. Been there several times. Each time it is different depending on the angle of the sun.
