Perhaps they disappeared towards the end of 1st CE for a reason. Much of what they believed sounds very much like the pure truth Jesus taught. Maybe the majority embraced the teachings of Christ. If they were so diligent in studying the prophets surely all the prophesies that were fulfilled in Jesus were easily recognised to them? Maybe they made up many of Jesus 1st century disciples? One wonders.
