Who played the main role of Jim Anderson in the TV series "Father Knows Best"?

Elinor Donahue was one of my first crushes. It was one of my favorite shows. I don't know why it kept getting cancelled. Many of those old sitcoms, like "Leave It to Beaver" have been, and still are, on in syndication, but I haven't seen "Father Knows Best" in decades. Other than a, probably government funded episode about savings bonds, there aren't any episodes on the web either.
