In mythology, what was Medusa's hair made from?

Medusa has always been my favorite Greek myth. she was innocent of wrong doing but Athena made a gorgon out of her.

I I recall watching clash of the titans and saw Meduza with the special owl bobo

Melode, Yeah Athena was just jealous of medusa!! so she took out her rage on her!! and that is also definitely my fave story!! in Greek mythology... well one of them! I love learning about Greek mythology!!
