In which year was the Easy Bake Oven introduced?

I always wanted one growing up but we were too poor so l bought one when l grew up

I would just whip up a regular sized cake mix and dole it out to my younger sisters so they could make cakes in it.

For some reason, it was a big No at our house. But I did get a Creepy Crawly machine where you could mold rubbery bugs. Yes, that was fun.

I had one growing up the cakes were like cupcakes .. my brothers would always eat them and ask me to make more. The cakes packages were expensive.. my mom taught me how to make the better cakes in the regular oven

I just loved mine!
