What does LOL mean online?

Toe jam, yes my mum thought it was "lots of love". She once sent me a message saying "Your uncle Timothy died last night. LOL, mum x".

a lot of people still think it means, lots of love.

I recently found my moms high school year book from 1965. At the end of a friend’s message, she put LOL. I thought it was pretty cool.

I knew what LOL meant online, but when I checked if Google knew too, it says it stands for League Of Legends.

I thought it was ‘lot’s of laugh’‼️
