What is the name of a media employee reporting information "from the scene"?

unfortunately the news media of today is so biased. They used to be apolitical, had integrity & just reported the facts & let the reader decide about what they ate reading. Now it's mostly liberal bent & they try to convert people to liberalism but their opposites do the same. I wish the news would go back to being unbiased & non-political. I guess its due to who owns the media. Such a shame too.
