The city of Bristol was formerly located in which English county, established in 1974 and abolished in 1996?

The county of Humberside lasted for the same amount of time, it now consists of East Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, some of it was moved back into South and West Yorkshire as well. The city of Kingston upon Hull still retains it's own area and Humberside police still use the name for it's force.
