How does a Platypus give birth?
Correct answer: They lay eggs

Sal
OK here comes an old joke....the platypus lays eggs and gives milk, making it the only animal to be able to make its own custard 😆

KittyKat
How is there not an animated Disney movie about a Platypus yet?

Arlo W.
That is extremely fascinating!

J
Got into an argument with two teachers once as they refused to inform their class about the wonderful weirdness of the utterly bonkers but brilliant platypus!!

GB
These guys are weird. They are only one of a small group of egg-laying mammals called monotremes.
The only other members are 4 species of echidnas, or spiny anteaters.. another unusual Australian critter (and New Guinea)

Smeghead
@J Teachers of 'faith' perhaps? I grew up in Tasmania. The platypus is wonderful and illusive. A wonder of evolution.

Vona
