The summer I turned 25 my parents took me on a month long trip to England, Scotland, Wales and Paris. One of the first things we did was visit Stonehenge. Magnificent. And a few weeks later we were heading back to London and found ourselves just a few miles from it, so we went again! Best trip of my life. Love my family

I thought Clark Griswold backed into them and knocked them down. 🤔

sillybee, Alas, they remove the barriers at the solstices and the 'great unwashed" - hippies, travellers, dropouts and masses of the mentally twisted are allowed to invade the site, damage and defile it, fill it with earspliiting rackets, and deposit countless tons of garbage all over it. This costs the taxpayer a small fortune to rectify. Yet a serious student or scholar can't get respectful access to study it.

KTI6, we went in 2009 for 3 weeks. First stop after London was Stonehenge. It was amazing and surreal to walk amongst the stones. I wanted to visit since I was a child.
We stayed in Amesbury, a lovely little town. Would love to go back.
