I have not visited there but the building looks as if it’s wooden. As a cabinet maker one of my trades that magnificent. ! ! !

Player #97184361, I worked on the Qatar National Convention Centre from 2007 - 2009 and traveled there several times. Our project was unique, but Middle Eastern countries seek to outdo each other with architectural feats that are aesthetically striking and structurally challenging! This building is beautiful. I would have loved to have toured it. But at least I got to see the I.M. Pei Museum of Islamic Arts when it first opened. It's all amazing.

Looks like I am going against the general opinion here, but to me this building, as many new buildings, could only have been designed and chosen by a 21st century mind! The same mind that calls a series of coloured dots Art and an animal immured in some sort of liquid worthy of a prestigious Art prize! Sorry, but count me out! and, "Stop the world, I want to get off!"
