I’ve been to Paris twice and it is not as romantic, friendly or as nice as it is portrayed on Tv. I’ve been to much nicer cities in Europe such as Porto and Valencia, far more charming and the people of Spain and Portugal are lovely.

Viena (Austria) is so much lovelier, cheaper, safer and cosier fot long walks. Also Austrian food and cakes are delicious. Nothing in Paris like the parks in Viena, and people in Viena are happier and friendlier, while in Paris local people are arrogant and racist.

Paris / France has never been on my bucket list; I've heard about it not being a friendly place & the locals being a horrible set of people. Additionally romance is a thing of the past in that dump. I'm glad I haven't bothered experiencing it for myself, I'll take people's word

Sarah, I am French and I cannot stand those people or that place! I left the country over 20 years ago, without regrets.

How fascinating!! I’ve never had a desire to visit any of the major capitals; it’s the rural areas and small towns I’d love to visit-in any country or continent!

Wow. Reading all these negative comments. I had a beautiful time in Paris and everyone I came across were so wonderful. Maybe sometimes it’s nice to the other person, maybe sometimes it’s just you.

I adore Paris, not for the way it has been portrayed as "romantic" but the history as well additionally, the view from the Eiffel tower is exceptional but freakishly scary at the same time.

highcode, actually Viena is voted has the happiest city to live in year after year sharing it with Stockholm, the pastries are great much better then Paris , French are usually arrogant by nature but Viena is seen has a new bed for the resurgence of white supremacy , racism and violence towards immigrants(which is actually seen all over the world .

Liz, I agree with you, about being thankful where we live. And not to judge others. This earth belongs to the Creator, and he has given it to the sons of man. It's up to us to take care of the earth if we do every where will be beautiful.
