There are grown women all over American TV, who cannot lose the fairytale that was shoved down their throats from birth: "You are a princess. Someday your Prince will come and take you away from all trouble and fear, where he will keep you safe, happy and beloved, forever and ever." The lie is very destructive, and no one ever bothers to tell her that fairy tales are not real. She is not a princess, and there's no such thing as Prince Charming, there are only flawed men and women. One look at divorce statistics proves that "happily ever after" is also a fantasy. We need to give our daughters tools for survival, not a bunch of nonsense and make-believe. That vacant, almost silly, way women have of trusting men gets a lot of us killed.

Tres, I was quoting recent statistics. I also believe that there are more female psychopaths than current numbers indicate. They are very different than the Bundy and Gacy ilk. The power and control issues are the same, but females don't usually kill their victims, seeming to prefer the long-term torture of toddlers who cannot tell. Hopefully, the numbers will catch up.
