Correct answer: Going Outside

Thor
It is more about the fear of open spaces with large crowds of people. My mother has turned into an agrophibic since her near death accident. Docs say agrophobia.

I get aggro from the missus if I go to the pub sometimes this is turning into a phobia for me! But on a more serious note I know a couple of people with this condition and it’s so hard to get them back into social life and to interact with others especially when those others see sufferers as “putting it on”

I’m afraid of dogs, and so many people walk them without a leash or turn them loose in the park or at the beach. Bunch of scofflaws!

hi
Mars V, I understand completely. I am not afraid of any animals. I am afraid of people. Not JOKING, Making fun. I keep my dogs, cats etc under control as I know the fear.

hi
Mars V, there should have been NOT making fun. it is not funny to be wary or scared about the things other people consider ok.

hi
J, you made me smile! Aggro pub phobia, great! I have it, the agoraphobia thing. I hate going into any social situations with more than 2 people. I am a lot better than I was a few years ago. Panic and wanting to be sick or just run away. People think I am odd, because I am so upbeat one to one. They don't understand that just one wrong word or actions, takes months to get past.

Hey! My neighbor. She never goes out of the house. Works from home. Her husband does the chores and errands. She is very attractive and dresses soigne, her hair always perfect. When we first met, her husband said she was ill but never elaborated and I didn’t ask. Eventually I met her. I didn’t know what to think. They’ve been my neighbors for 5 years and she won’t come out. So what else could it be? She sure didn’t look sick to me.

Mars V, Too many people can't be bothered to leash their pets. Some dogs seem to consider the whole block their territory. After being bitten a few years ago, I started carrying pepper spray. Then I added a small bag of doggie treats. A few of those tossed at the dog usually works.

Mars V, I understand you. My wife and I are seniors with a 12 year old dog and a 1 year old rough collie (looks like Lassie). He loves people and likes to jump up on them. We’re trying to break him of that habit
