Marcy, The man couldn't help himself. He also did drawings of a type of helicopter and a submarine. I don't believe it, but there are those who think he was a time traveller.

When my son was young, Leonardo was his favourite historically figure. There was an exhibit of his drawings, paintings, furniture and other ephemera at the Seattle Art Museum when he was in grade school. Ofc I chaperoned! He was rapt! SO many things did da Vinci conceive of! So some of the drawings didn't work, as someone mentioned. It was the 1400s!! Genius nonetheless!
