I don't think the Asian armies had tent pegs and even if they did they wouldn't have wasted their energy on them The recipient's would have been pigs deer or anything edible with the odd POW thrown in as practice. The Brits only tentpegged after their were several scandals involving the Army and their usual method of mounted practice with the lance which was live pig-sticking.
