My niece was born in 1963 with his condition. She weighed 1 pound and 14 ounces and lift for three years she made no sound and never grew! It was caused by the doctors giving my sister medication after my father passed away quickly, I did not know my sister was pregnant! Thank goodness, Time and technology have increased the chances of a life with water on brain. It has been 50 years, since I have even heard this word!

I had a ventricular shunt put into me at the age of 5 after falling backward off a wall and hitting the back of my head....the shunt was inserted into the blocked ventricle in the brain and drains the water into my abdominal cavity....I am now 50 and the shunt has been changed 4 times since....so far I have had no issues...
