Just an FYI for everyone: The technical term for vomiting is "reverse peristalsis."

My dad always used to say throw out. I would tell him it’s throw up. Months later he would say the same thing. I would correct him again. Pretty soon I got tired of reminding him. I just accepted his way of saying it. He passed away this Father’s Day. I treasure my memories of him.

David, As a retired nurse, I can tell you that the technical term for vomiting is emesis. Peristalsis is the rhythmic movement of the intestines to help you move food down your gut. It should move downwards, but if it moves upwards instead, retroperistalsis ( or reverse peristalsis if you prefer) it triggers a violent contraction of the stomach and you suffer emesis (vomiting)
