Thank you for this factoid. I am a 53 yr old who was born with CP. A stereotype that persist is that all babies born with CP will be intellectually challenged but in my case that was not true. Also CP is a birth defect and cannot be considered CP if it occurs after a baby is born. PT, Speech and other early interventions can help children live fulfilling lives. We are educated, successful members of society with families of our own.
