the story that i've read about Medusa is about how athena got jealous of Medusa's beauty and some of the people who admired athena altered their attention to medusa that's why she cursed medusa in exchange of something that is important to her.

I THOUGHT MEDUSA WAS A PREISTESS WHO WAS RAPED BY POSEIDON. ATHENA GOT ANGRY WITH HER AND TURNED HER INTO A GORGON.
