My son was a huge Liverpool fan, he died in 2022 aged 46, we played this at his funeral, everyone had to wear something red.

Such a fabulous song. So iconic for Liverpool. Gerry and the Pacemakers did us proud. Likewise with Ferry 'cross the Mersey.

Globular Martian, I have loved Ferry since the day it was released. Have never been to Liverpool but the song paints a great image with its beautiful guitar, melody and lyrics.

What a coincidence. Just 2 days ago my soccer fanatic friend in the Netherlands sent me a video of the ENTIRE stadium singing this song loudly and in tune! I had never heard of that ritual and was really impressed.
