itsgood2bz,
You only need some Latin on an ad hoc basis, knowing it in toto is a bonus. Solar, an English word you must know, is derived from 'sol' giving the link to the answer Sun, i.e our nearest star, know this to get it correct. Latin per se is unnecessary, but is the basis of many languages e.g. French, et cetera. If you only keep your knowledge at status quo, and expect to give your answers verbatim, you cannot enjoy learning per se, or the multi extra opportunities in this game. I hope you appreciate my impromptu use of bona fide examples of commonly used Latin!
