The US government is the leader of the Sugar (or Candy-Coated) Cartel. It controls sugar production and supply, thereby forcing Americans to pay higher prices for sugar than the international norm. It has been a scandal for decades. It is corporate welfare at its most blatant and disgusting. So, Big Pharma is not the only giant entity that forces Americans to pay twenty times more for prescription drugs than the rest of the world. Big Sugar, backed by powerful career politicians, is on our backs, too.
