What do Ethiopians use instead of a plate?

ccmomma, I like washing dishes!! to be honest!! I get to have alone time with me and my thoughts!! to focus on what's going on around!! me and no one bothers me!! that's why I like doing the dishes!!

They use it instead of cutlery not plate. In spite of Ethiopia having suffered from much poverty they have the best African cuisine, where there's a good and healthy balance between vegetables, dairy and meat dishes. Also they go through periods of fasting where they don't consume any product of animal origin for certain periods of time (according to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church)
