Maddog, actually, A&W was founded first, but only as a root beer stand. It became a restaurant in 1923. Therefore, White Castle is considered the first restaurant. BTW, I love A&W root beer, my favorite!!

I remember in the 60's. when they were 10 cents apiece. My father bought 40 sliders for me and my brother and sister. With sodas, they cost $5.00 and change. Those were the good old days.

They sold a bill of goods and people ate it up. Folks, there ain’t any MEAT in their so-called “burgers”! I want a burger? McD’s? Are you crazy? One step above WC. Gimme charbroiled Burger King! Make it a double! Fresh tomato, lettuce, onion….cheese if you want it. Simple. I don’t want any “secret” sauce. Let the sauce drip from the juicy boiger.
