Correct answer: Cy Young

that is why the pitcher can win the Cy Young award in MLB each year, one in each league

His record will never be broken. Today's pitchers are too busy counting for when to come out of the game.

unfortunately during his career from 1890 to 1911 America had a strict law forbidding black players from playing with white people known as Jim Crow no telling how many black players would've had similar numbers and no telling how many black players would've made Cy Young win count much smaller since the talent would've been better than what he was currently facing in my opinion all MLB players in the HOF who played prior to Jackie Robinson playing should have a asterisk next to their names jmo

Tommy Lee Jones played him in a movie

JimmyLovesQL, starting pitchers are on a 5 man rotation. Cy probably was on a 2 or 3 man rotation. In the sixties, it was a 4 man rotation and 20 wins was not uncommon, now it’s seldom.

Denny McClain of the Detroit Tigers broke his record in 1968 by winning 31 games!! No one came close to that!;
