O neg blood lacks any factors (such as the rhesus positive component) which could cause incompatiblity (aka rejection) when transfixed with all other blood types. thus making those with O neg blood highly sought after as "universal" donors.

LisaBrack10, as I am O-, had shots with the last 8 pregnancies. It is unusual to have one with 1st pregnancy as our bodies hadn't yet "recognized" the baby as a foreign body (as I understand it, blood needs to cross over and that generally happens during childbirth)

when I worked at fedex back in early 2000s, I used to pu from this donor/ dialysis clinic..they had 3 people that they were paying every 2 weeks like $40,000..and they called it golden blood. or the platelets. The director told me who 2 of them were...smh..1 of them was a lawyer and the other was a lady who they to stop because she was using and contracted hiv...she didn't tell me who 3rd person was.
