Which Paris nightclub was famous for the Can-Can?

It’s too bad the original caught fire

I visited let Moulin Rouge in about 2008 and I was very surprised to find the quality of performance was not the caliber I would have expected. Especially the costumes were very low quality and brash. Not reflective of the historical costumes that one might see at such a historical site. Sadly many of the men performers were catering to men. This is fine, yet the women in the audience had nothing for their enjoyment.
