brilliant book, and the film was good too although I don't know if I would have really understood what was going on without having read the book first!

arohanui, I have always found that American made films never follow the authors plot. They have to ad lib-sex, drugs and rock and roll so the old saying goes. The Outsiders was almost word for word from the text which is how the Brits make movies. It's more authentic to me.
Paul Steadman
Great book but the film should have been a lot better. It's not a bad film but the book was asking to be made into a film so much better.
