What is the correct name for a childhood disease?

Yep this seems pretty rough!

I had it as an infant, lucky to be alive!

I had adult whopping cough about 6 years ago.

Although I had been immunized, I got whooping cough when I was 15 years old. I was very sick for 3 months and was told I had to finish school another time. Very heartbreaking for a teenager. I finished school later.
