I was in -28 the day I stepped off the plane in February 1994 for the Winter Olympics in Norway. I imagine you have to have some special clothing to withstand -70.

and I too couldn't imagine being in a environment where the temperature drops that low being a reptilian my comfort zone is in the high 70s and low 80s and both of those numbers are on the positive side of the thermostat -80 degrees is way too cold for a native Californian even lake Tahoe doesn't get that cold

Never been in very cold temperatures before. The lowest I’ve been in is only in the negative teens. Snow is beautiful but I dislike driving in it.
