Dang. Spent 4 days in Scotland and never had this scrumptious dish. May have seen it on a menu and was too scared to try it. They eat haggis after all! (with love) 😀

I am Scottish and we call it bubble and squeak or fry up, it's usually made from the leftovers of a big traditional Sunday roast dinner. Yes, what ever is leftover is fried it's really delicious.

back in the 80s in Ireland after a nice Sunday Roast, on the Monday my mam used the leftovers of potatoes, cabbage and turnip and shallow fried them with shallots and spring onion. was really tasty.

sounds good, horrible name though. doesn't make you think of food
