What is a doula?
Correct answer: A trained professional who assists during pregnancy and labor

Nexus 6
Similar to a midwife?

Tres
Nexus 6, a midwife delivers pre-natal care, delivers the baby, and provides post-delivery care for normal childbirth. A doula provides support to mom and family during and after the birth process.

Dogs R Filthy
They're similar (I did the training) but they can't provide any medical intervention

Pregnant " people"? I thought only women could get pregnant! Oh like " chest feeder" rather than breastfeeding?

Miss Scarlett, I doughnut no nuttin' ' bout birthin' no baby !

Helen
Nexus 6, no way similar. A midwife has a post graduate degree. A doula likes to assist by supporting women, but a midwife is more equipped to deal with delivery of baby AND PLACENTA.
