Live in Pennsylvania but once lived in the lovely San Antonio. We visited again last month for 2 weeks for the first time since living there. The city has changed but most of the places that we loved the most have changed little or if they have changed, they’ve become even better than we remember. The Mission Trail is now a UNESCO site and beautifully managed by the NPS. The area around the Alamo has been enlarged and there are more improvements in progress. I read that it’s now the 7th largest city in the US. Unfortunately just after we visited the Hill Country, the tragedy of Uvalde occurred.

VibrantSelfishness2, Me too! I notice other people listing their Riverwalk attractions. I believe Waco has one, and maybe even Boerne. But ours is best! (Jk people! I haven't seen the others so I can't truly say that.)

I live in San Antonio and the original Riverwalk was constructed during the early 1940's by the WPA. This makes the SA Riverwalk the oldest and most well-known of all of them. I saw OKC's Riverwalk when it first opened and it's really very nice.

soclady2, the San Antonio river walk is pretty. I've visited there and seen it. However, it's only one of many, many river walks. I've also seen one in Illinois, another in Wisconsin, and have heard of others.
