Which skin cancer is most dangerous?

My melanoma started as a spot by my knee that looked like a splash of brown paint. No mole. Removed and gone with surgery - good catch by my GP!

I lost my favorite uncle to this disease. They gave him 6 months to live when it was found, and he lasted 6 months. RIP uncle Jack.

I am not sure this is any longer true. My husband was diagnosed with metastasized malignant melanoma in 2017 and given 3 months to live. After chemo, radiation tohis brain called ‘Cyber Knife’ treatment and immunotherapy he is in remission now (Sept. 2025). I am not sure how long ago this question was written.
