This record was broken in April 2019 by the Stratolaunch jet. Its wingspan is a full 65 feet wider than the Spruce Goose.

Player #3154466, er... wrong. The biggest Lockheed is the C-5 galaxy which has a wingspan of 247 ft. Although the Spruce Goose has the current record, the Stratolaunch is currently under construction in the Mojave desert and will have a wingspan of 385 ft (117 m) when it should be completed in 2019

HoustonOutfitters, This museum's history is a wonderful story in itself.

WaldoLydeker, I have been fortunate to tour it twice. Once where it was docked in Long Beach and in Oregon where it has a forever home. The Long Beach tour included a tour of the ship Queen Mary. Both are ripe with history of a golden era. Visit the museum in Oregon for an eye opening array of historic planes in a small community. Interesting and well informed volunteers who love their museum.

Dan Duke,
Well we know the Goose’s measurements.
What’s the wingspan of the Antonio?
If you make these sort of comments you need backup

I'm an airforce "brat", flew on the Constellation stripped down
for the military, read umpteen biographies on Hughes, liked that he was an upstart regardless of his womanising--took on "city hall"[the Senate for those of you who don't understand metaphors] and won!
Oh, that's the RCAF not the USAF...
