An unflinching glimpse of societal topics which are sadly banned from schools today. How can anyone learn from history if they don't learn of history?

I enjoyed this program so much! Archie was such a racist, but he only made himself look bad and ridiculously foolish! Too bad shows like this are no longer tolerated. People should lighten up and enjoy these comedies. I'm a minority who enjoyed this program.

fergiethefrog, A great deal of shows back then dealt with many social & controversial topics of the day; but they all did it in their own way, with their own views& spins on the topic at hand. Since we only had a few channels to choose from, more people watched the same shows, which means more people were thinking about the episode & the topic. We sorely need that nowadays.

Tina M., I agree! I am white and I used to love watching The Jeffersons, and the junkyard one with Lamont and Fred! I can't think of the name of it! Sorry! I thought it was hilarious when The Jeffersons moved in next to the Bunkers, and George and Archie would go at it as racists from opposite sides! There was a lot of interplay with societal norms of the day mixed with morality and understanding!

I felt sorry for him when he lost his adopted son to drugs.

Tina M., George Jefferson on "The Jeffersons" (1975-1985) was the equal to Archie. They are, with a couple of very few differences, the same character.

Sammy Davis, Jr., Frank Sinatra (The Chairman of the Board), and Dean Martin were the heart and soul of the Rat Pack, which usually had around five members, two of whom (at various times) were Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop.

I've been watching Neighborhood and it reminds me a lot of All in the Family.
