He flew a Lockheed P-38 Fighter. So why are you showing a commercial airliner. He neither flew nor shot down any of those.

richo, Harry Truman declared that the war with Germany was over on October 24, 1951. The war was officially over on September 2, 1945, but it's a fun little point for nitpicking! It's so long after everything happened. I believe he also declared an "end of hostilities" in 1946 or 1948.
