The October Revolution in Russia occurred on

SC WizKid, November 7th by the Gregorian Calendar is October 25th by the Julian Calendar. Russia didn't adopt the Gregorian Calendar that the rest of the western world used, and still uses, until after the revolution.

would like the answer explained better. Why was it called October if it occurred in November?
