Rather than trying to make reparations for dead ancestors’ misdeeds, why not rather treat all humans with dignity and love. As our brothers, for we are all members of the human race.

Unfortunately, systemic intolerance and racism continues to be a serious issue with white supremacists infiltrating many of societies institutions.

Reparations will never erase what happened. Nothing will ever make it okay, but a nice start would be to actually treat everyone as fellow human beings regardless of race sexual orientation and social status. We are all God's children and while those affected and still affected will never forget what was done, a genuine effort to apologize with actions would go a long way to people all over the world who suffer from systemic racism.

Slavery was not new to the world when Southern States had slavery. Southern States were not the last states to have slavery, legal or otherwise. Slavery still goes on today in parts of the world. It is a form of communism. The first slave in America was brought by a Muslim to Boston in the early 1700s.

The Skynyrd song has the line "I hope Neil Young will remember, Southern man don't need him around anyhow".
