Jim Steinman was an absolute legend. Meatloaf was, and still is, awesome. His music lives on.

the album had been rejected by most every record company until Rock and roll polymath Todd Rundgren stepped in to finance and produce album. Rundgren viewed the music as a spoof on artist such as Springsteen and the Eagles. the backing harmonies on two out of three ain't bad sound much like the eagles. Rundgren and his band Utopia provide the music for the album

Meatloaf was so underrated. His many albums show his strong vocals and his live concerts showed his showmanship. I saw him 4 times live in concert. Favorite concert - Dead Ringer. Favorite album - Midnight at the lost and found. Long Live Meatloaf and Jim Steinman!!!!!

Jonesy, Jim Steinmen's songs have been sung by many other artists other than Meatloaf (R.I.P. Rock In Paradise Meat). Artists such as Air Supply, Bonnie Tyler, Celine Dion & more.

Globular Martian, That song is about reminiscing about things that happen in your life & realizing that eventhough things happened long ago, they stand out above other memories & they helped to formulate the person you are & are becoming. At least thats how we understand it. Hope this helps.

AndyV5615, You are correct, technically the second album that they collaborated on was "Dead Ringer" (1981). We believe there focusing on the "Bat Out of Hell" Trilogy itself.

I watched one of Meatloaf's last concerts (if not his very last concert) in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The people we had gone with said that he was not in good voice that night.

Steinman's gone now as well. That music was completely original. A mix of Broadway and Springsteen. Punk was like my favorite music and even I thought they were awesome!
