Speechreading can help people who lose which of the senses?

I have partial scar tissue build up/ear drum damage from numerous ear infections as a kid so I have always read peoples' lips when they're speaking. Not nearly as proficient as someone from the non-hearing community but I do ok 😁

I can't really read lips!! but I think I do a good job... well sometimes!

That would be lip reading to the rest of us.
