Why was this shape not used for Coke bottles?

can't see the shape as half the bottle is hidden!

Terrible question since the dull shape of the bottle is not shown. They should either provide a proper image or delete this question.

This is not a good picture as they look no different than the actual bottle. One had to guess.

take away the crate so we can actually see the entire bottle.

The bottles are hidden, so what we see looks like the long used traditional bottle.

the shape shown in picture is still used very much. I can say it with confidence because we still get these here in India.

this is a very vague question . we would have to have be knowledgeable about every bottle shape used by Coca-Cola ever across the whole world ... current plastic bottles here have a slimming and a buldge as you go up .. so it's quite similar .. the exact performance in terms of balance rather hard to determine
