I learned that a long time ago...conveniently forgot.

Lionessa
Now that I know where it comes from (I was never sure about it being made from hooves of animals), I feel slightly sick. I wonder about all that Jello in hospitals. If those people only knew...

Player Say what!?
Lionessa, I grew up knowing this and assumed it was common knowledge. As one player said, I, too conveniently forget how it's made, as well as hotdogs and bologna.

The Mighty Beefeater
Oh dear. All those poor people not knowing the source of Gelatin. What will they do when they discover that Honey is actually bees vomit!?

Candy
That's disgusting. I had no clue.

Player #138964309, Does this mean that when I eat "gelatine" as a cheaper and easier way of obtaining collagen I'm wasting my efforts?

littlepuppy
Real yoghurt doesn't need gelatin ..if your vegetarian eat Greek or other types

Player #138964309
option, if I can make a correction, they no longer use animals to make gelatin. it is all synthetic.

Snance, I found this out last year and have not been able to enjoy my edibles since. 😂

I grew up near the old Hood plant and all you could smell some days was this weird smell of ox hoofs that were used for the gelatin. Pooey!

I wouldn’t say it’s tasteless in its unrefined form. I make it quite often from bones.
