I saw Belzer as a stand-up comic in the early 1980s. Loved him ever since. Munch was always my favorite on both Homicide and SVU. I was heartbroken when he died last year. :(

Belzer did some really good stand-up comedy a few decades ago as well. Much of it had historical foundations, as I recall.

I am too young to scour the obituaries for friends gone. I do find it upsetting when I see actors who were healthy when I was young and their death is made public, Even though I saw them last decades ago.
